Linux
Linux is now a viable alternative to the ‘big two’. There are many different varieties of Linux (called distros), and it can be installed on older, lower-spec hardware – although it is great on new devices too!
- Linux Mint (Recommended)
Good option for beginners. Very professional-looking OS. Easy to install (no tech knowledge required). Includes full Libre Office suite, Firefox, etc.
- Ubuntu
