The TaskTracker is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that can be used to record the tasks (‘action items’) required to implement a project, set priorities, allocate responsibilities and dates for task completion, and visually track the progress of those tasks.
The TaskTracker can be used in conjunction with other planning tools, in a variety of planning environments.
The example below uses school ICT infrastructure planning as an example, but the TaskTracker worksheet isn’t limited to ICT tasks. The TaskTracker spreadsheet can be used for any school planning project that has a budget allocation, sets priorities, and identifies ‘action items’ that will be undertaken by specific people to complete the project.
